Now that Christmas is over...

Well I'm sure that most people are glad that Christmas is over. It certainly is an exhausting time of year for most people. I find it interesting that now that the holiday is over we go back to spending time alone instead of with family. It might be a good idea to spend time with family outside of the crazy time. You might discover that you actually enjoy them.

Photos, Photos, and More Photos

It is the time of year that we all pull out our cameras trying to capture the perfect shot for our Christmas cards. During a recent photo shoot, I may not have captured the perfect Christmas card, but I definitely captured the spirit of the participants. This photo is saying, "Hey you, listen to what the photographer is telling you to do! If you know what's good for you, you'll check back often to know what is going on!" It is my opinion that we should share these photos with our friends and family. They show who we truly are and do not show us posed as statues saying "cheese." This Christmas don't be afraid to get the silly and quirky shot. These tell the greatest stories.

Inspiration

Inspiration comes in all forms. Sometimes we forget that children get excitement from the simplest things. My nephew, Anakin, was thrilled to be out in the drizzle using my extra large umbrella. He was awed by the simple function of an umbrella and the bright colors. Watching him enjoy the afternoon made me realize that we all need to stop and enjoy life. We rush through our days spending our time filling every second. Next time it rains I challenge you to step outside with your umbrella and enjoy playing in the rain. You might just discover how much you miss being a kid and want to remain a kid at heart.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Well I spent the weekend exploring digital scrapbooking. It is just incredible! I downloaded a "Family Address Book" and "2009 Calendar" templates. I'm planning on giving away the family address book to my mom for this holiday season. The calendars will come in handy for just about anybody that I want to spend the time on. I also found my digital scrapbooking Christmas card. After all of this work I decorated my house for Christmas. The tree, lights, and decorations are up! It is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas... now if only the weather would cooperate.
